Here's what you can do during independent work time today:
  • Check your Hart District Gmail account
  • Check your grades on Infinite Campus
  • Preview today's lesson and agenda
  • Visit Google Maps at http://maps.google.com. Do a search for the word Arabia. Locate the Arabian Peninsula on the map of the world. Observe what bodies of water are around it. What modern countries are located in and around the Arabian Peninsula?

2. Thank-You Thursday!
  • Students will learn how to write an informal letter
  • Students will learn what the word "template" means
  • Students will access Google Classroom to get their letter template
    • You can also access a template HERE
  • Students will write an informal letter to a teacher or mentor BEYOND Sierra Vista Junior High School
  • Students will proofread their own letter, and ask at least one partner in the class, "Hey could you look at this for me, please?" BEFORE sending it to print
  • Students will print and sign the letter (in ink), and ensure it gets to its proper destination
HW:  THIS IS A CONTINUATION FROM YESTERDAY'S HOMEWORKPre-read Chapter 3, Section 1 in your textbook. Define the following terms in your Composition Book:
